Tyler Thompson

Director of Operations, Crew Youth Development
Director of Coaching, Crew Juniors West

In addition to acting as Crew Juniors West director of coaching, Tyler Thompson serves as director of operations for the entire youth model. He works to ensure consistency and uniformity across the club in the areas of programming, policies and communication.

Thompson has been a successful youth coach and club administrator in central Ohio since moving to the area from California in 2002. He was an assistant director at Worthington United Soccer Club from 2002-08 and the boys varsity head coach at Wellington High School from 2005-08, prior to becoming affiliated with the Crew.

When Worthington United became a Crew Juniors affiliate, he was named program director, a role in which he served from 2008-11. He joined the staff full time as Crew Juniors West DOC in 2011 and assumed club operations responsibilities in 2012.

Thompson is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego, where he played soccer from 1996-99. He then went on to serve as an assistant coach on the school’s club team in 2000.
