What is the difference between the affiliates?
The primary difference between the affiliates is the location in which the teams play and practice.
What is Crew Juniors Gold East or West?
Crew Juniors Gold East is all Crew Junior teams on the eastside of Columbus. In 2012-2013 this will consist of U11-U12 Crew Junior players from the CJNA and Phoenix programs. Crew Juniors Gold West is all Crew Junior teams on the west side of Columbus. In 2012-2013 this will consist of U11-U12 Crew Junior players from the Worthington programs.
Can I try out for more than one affiliate?
No. You should register to try out for one affiliate. If you wish to be considered for another affiliate, please make a note in the comments area during your registration. It is possible that a coach may recommend a player to consider accepting a spot with another affiliate, if we feel this would be a better fit for the player. The coach would call the family to discuss and see if he/she would consider this.
What should my player bring to tryouts?
Your registration receipt with a wallet size photo stapled/attached, a soccer ball, a water bottle, shin guards and soccer cleats.
Can my player play more than one sport and still play for Crew Juniors?
Yes. We encourage all players to enjoy other sports; however, please consider as players compete at higher levels, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to play multiple sports.
Do I need to attend all three days of tryouts?
No, but we strongly encourage you to attend as many nights as possible to properly evaluate players.
Do you offer scholarships?
A limited number of partial scholarships are available. Click here for more information.
